October 4 & 5 Retreat with Luisa Montero
You are warmly invited to attend an upcoming weekend retreat led by returning teacher Luisa Montero.
Describing her Friday Talk, Luisa wrote:
Kindness and compassion are not fixed traits that we either have or don’t have. They are states that can be developed and strengthened. In view of the challenges we face today, personal and societal, this is great news. When we practice being mindful, kind to ourselves, and recognize our shared humanity, compassion for and connection with others can flow easily. Through the practice of mindfulness meditation, on and off the cushion, we discover and cultivate the inherent human tendencies toward connection and kind-heartedness for ourselves and others.
