Teacher Larissa Kitenko
TOPIC: Winter Solstice Observance (actual date 12/21/20) — At this time of year when the nights are longest and the days are shortest, please join us as we consider our hopes and happiness in the midst of darkness and cold, whether it be in our hearts or the weather.
PLEASE READ ON:
Message from Larissa: If you wish, please have candle (real or battery); lighter; water or candle snuffer for safety; if possible, please set candle on flat surface in front of your camera so the candle will SAFELY show on your Zoom screen at the appointed time.
We will light the candle together as a Sangha toward the end of the meeting.
Please know how to increase the volume on your device in case you need to.
There will also be simple chanting of “Om mani padme hum” and …….a surprise (if Larissa can engineer it!)
4 to 4:30 pm – silent meditation
4:35 to approximately 5:30 pm – dharma talk, Q&A, closing sit
We will have thirty minutes of our traditional silent group meditation. Larissa will then present a twenty-five to thirty-minute dharma talk followed by a Q&A period and a closing sit.
