February 12 Day-long Retreat with Carl Skooglund
IMC-Lewes Presents a Saturday Retreat with Carl Skooglund
Insight Meditation Community of Lewes (IMC-Lewes) welcomes meditation teacher Carl Skooglund for a virtual Saturday day-long retreat February 12. The event will include a dharma talk on the topic of “Making Effort Easier.”
Skooglund writes: “Right Effort,” as the Early Buddhist tradition calls it, is a vital facet of the Path. But it is sometimes viewed with a bit of suspicion…doubt…or even resentment? During our time together, I hope to offer up some fresh perspectives and practices that will help effort make more sense, and seem more valuable – which can make effort much easier!
All are welcomed to attend this day of meditation and discussion.
Skooglund is a charter member of the board of the Insight Meditation Community of Washington (IMC-W). He trained with Spirit Rock’s Community Dharma Leader program and is a regular teacher at IMC-W.
The virtual daylong retreat will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, February 12, on Zoom.
The suggested donation is $30 for the Saturday retreat. For those with limited income, 50%, or any amount of the suggested donation offered is welcome. If budget does not allow for a donation, simply ‘show up,’ no explanation is needed.
